The Very Asian Foundation is a national 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to shine a light on Asian experiences through advocacy and celebration.
What we do
Through our mission, we try to bridge the gap between community and journalism by serving the underserved and solving problems.
We help libraries build diverse collections through The May Book Project
We help people chase their dreams with The Creators Microgrant Program
We host events and pop-ups to build stronger communities with our partners

The May Book Project
A national campaign that helps libraries be more inclusive by donating Asian American youth literature to at-need libraries.

The Creators Grant
A program that provides financial support and mentorship to AA and NHPI individuals who have pivoted their careers to explore a creative space.

Events
VAF hosts DEI events, leads and moderates panels, throws mixers and supports storytelling.
The Very Asian Foundation directly supports and collaborates with organizations, non-profits and community groups who share our vision of strengthening the Asian community in immeasurable ways.
